Reduce The Risk of Cancer by Drinking Coffee

There is good news for fans of coffee. Based on a study in the United States, shows signs of coffee may reduce the risk of skin cancer by helping to kill the damaged cells that potentially can turn into tumors.

The findings, published on Monday, shows that drinking caffeine naturally, or even use a coffee in the skin, can be useful in counteracting the non-melanoma cancer, the diagnosis of skin cancer most often.

By using mice that are genetically influenced to suppress the production of the enzyme protein, ATR, in his body, the researchers proved that rats were able to fend off cancer and even when exposed to ultraviolet light.

Previous research has suggested that drinking about one cup of caffeinated coffee per day had the effect of pressing the ATR and trigger the death of cells damaged by UV rays.

The rat eventually had cancer, but it happened after three weeks, compared with normal mice, according to research published in the Report of the National Academy of Sciences.

After 19 weeks exposure to ultraviolet light, the engineered mice that showed 69 percent fewer tumors and four times less invasive tumors compared to normal group.

However, the protective effect only as long as it is, after more than 34 weeks exposure to ultraviolet light, all mice had tumors.

"Finally, if you memamar them with ultraviolet light long enough, all the mice will develop cancer, so it does not provide 100 percent protection forever," said Allan Conney, one of the authors, told AFP.

"Really, with almost all kinds of carcinogens, in the end all the animals will suffer from tumors," said Conney, who is director of the Laboratory for Cancer Research Susan Lehman Cullman at Rutgers University, New Jersey.

Conney and his team were able to confirm their hypothesis that caffeine, when consumed or applied to the skin - works by inhibiting the ATR. Now they say that more research is needed to see how the same theory may also work in humans.

"We want to see if caffeine has an effect in humans when administered regularly," he said.

"Caffeine may be a weapon in the prevention of being able to inhibit the ATR and also acts as a sunscreen and directly absorbs UV rays that damage."

Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the United States, with more than one million new cases each year, according to the National Cancer Institute.

Type of non-skin cancer melanoma, including the type of basal cell and squamous cell, is a type of skin cancer most often diagnosed and often treatable if detected at an early stage.

Previous studies have shown coffee drinkers tend to have lower risk of breast cancer, uterine, prostate and colon, but no beneficial effects seen in people who drank decaffeinated coffee.

Active Lifestyle in an effort to Avoid Chronic

You who have less active lifestyles should begin to be alert early on. Because the results showed, the lifestyle is less active or sedentary can increase the risk of chronic diseases even though you have taken the time to exercise.

"If people spend most of his time sitting, despite exercising regularly, they remain at high risk of chronic disease. If they want to add movement in the routine throughout the day, they will feel better and avoid health problems," says John Thyfault, assistant professor of nutrition and physiology from the University of Missouri.

In a recent study, Thyfault and his team found that those whose lifestyles changed from high activity levels (more than 10,000 steps per day) to inactive (less than 5,000 steps per day) higher risk of type 2 diabetes.

According Thyfault, activity that requires a person rarely sits like an invisible influence on someone. However, in the long run it can prevent weight gain.

In a recent article published in the Journal of Applied Physiology, the researchers argue, is less active lifestyle is a major cause of chronic diseases, like diabetes, obesity, fatty liver disease as well. Exercising regularly also may not be enough for those who sit a lot to reduce the risk of this disease.

Several studies have also shown that most of the time spent sitting can lead to risk of death.

"Everyone should try to take at least 10,000 steps every day. No need to be done at once, but do 500 to 1,000 steps every few hours is fairly good," said Scott Rector, an assistant professor of nutrition and exercise physiology from the University of Missouri.

Small changes can increase the number of steps people in their routine activities.

"Try to use the stairs rather than elevators, walking toward the desk work friends than by calling them, or spend a little time for a little walk around all day," he added.

10 Ways to Spend Time with Your Kids When You Have No Time

…T-I-M-E.” He was definitely onto something. Unfortunately, if you are like most parents, time is a precious commodity that often eludes us. Whether we have a new job, a new baby, or we just need to make the coffee or strip the beds, we always seem to be wishing for more time. We need more. We want more. But we feel we just don’t have it. Does that mean we don’t love them? Of course not.

Spending quality time with our children is extremely important for their development and happiness. I have interviewed thousands of children around the world and they told me that time spent with them doesn’t need to be elaborate or long, but it must be “quality”. We must find ways then to slow down and slip in some memorable time that will let our children know that we love and care for them.

Many children will let you know in their own “subtle” ways if they feel that you are not giving them the attention that they need. Some will withdraw while others will “act out.” You might see it when a child gives “lip” to a teacher, fights with another classmate or resorts back to behaviors that once got your attention like increased crying, throwing tantrums or even bed-wetting. This is a way to capture your attention, albeit often negative, so that they can enjoy “focused” time with you. Essentially the thought process is, “if I can’t get her attention by doing something good, I’ll get her attention by doing something bad.” Nobody wants that!
So how can you find time when you feel you don’t have any to spend?

1. Define a special time
Children love routine, so allocate a special evening a week to do interesting things with the kids.

2. Create a plan together
Involve children in deciding what will be done at special times, though not in all cases they could be involved. Take time to make plans and discuss what we will do. This is as interesting as doing the activity itself.

3. Playing
When was the last time we played with the kids? Children's games are so-so only, but importantly, we can go on in their world, and they can learn responsibility and understand what they are doing.

4. The group
Sometimes it's good to do something together with other family members. Try to observe the possibility to do it with friends or with a group.

5. Buy a ticket on a regular basis
This encourages us to visit regularly our favorite places, such as zoos. Pleasing to see pembahan-changes that continue to occur in our favorite places. We can see more things when a routine visit a place.

6. Share your passion
Some hobbies such as photography, horseback riding or fishing can be done together. Choose the type of entertainment, which the children can do to one's heart.

7. Cooking
Learn to cook there is always a benefit. Cooking together is also one interesting way to celebrate an event. For instance, celebrated the success by eating cooked menus together.

8. Matches
Work together competing to win something, such as quizzes, games, races and so forth. Encourage the child to take part and build the courage to try something we normally avoid.

9. Go back to our current school report cards
Children are usually very interested in looking back memories of past evidence of an adult while still a child. Raport-school report cards, photographs and other memories when we were kids was the trigger to tell about our past and future of our children.

10. Play hide and seek
This is one example of our toys can do with our children. Try searching for other traditional games and play.

9 Tips for Slimming Body Safely and Effectively

Tips in Life that Lead to happiness

Are you truly happy? Do you even know what it means to be happy and what it takes to achieve happiness? These are important questions for anyone who is seeking happiness to ask themselves. I live my life to maintain my own happiness while trying my best to not cause unhappiness to anyone else. If you want to be happy you need to understand that you can be happy and that you should be happy. Many people make the mistake of believing that they don’t deserve happiness and accept their unhappy state as their destiny. The truth of the matter is that happiness, like anything else in life, needs to be nurtured. The following are a few tips that I follow to create happiness in my life.
  1. Understand what it is that will make you happy. Everyone has unique requirements for attaining happiness and what makes one person happy may be very different from what makes someone else happy. Revel in your individuality and do not worry about whether or not your desires are comparable to those of your peers.
  2. Make a plan for attaining goals that you believe will make you happy. Your mood will very likely increase as your pursue your goal because you will feel better about yourself for going after something you value.
  3. Surround yourself with happy people. It is easy to begin to think negatively when you are surrounded by people who think that way. Conversely, if you are around people who are happy their emotional state will be infectious.
  4. When something goes wrong try to figure out a solution instead of wallowing in self pity. Truly happy people don’t allow set backs to affect their mood because they know that with a little thought they can turn the circumstances back to their favor.
  5. Spend a few minutes each day thinking about the things that make you happy. These few minutes will give you the opportunity to focus on the positive things in your life and will lead you to continued happiness.
  6. It’s also important to take some time each day to do something nice for yourself. Whether you treat yourself to lunch, take a long, relaxing bath or simply spend a few extra minutes on your appearance you will be subconsciously putting yourself in a better mood.
  7. Finding the humor in situations can also lead to happiness. While there are times that require you to be serious, when it is appropriate, find a way to make light of a situation that would otherwise make you unhappy.
  8. Maintaining your health is another way to achieve happiness. Being overweight or not eating nutritious foods can have a negative effect on your mood. Additionally, exercise has been known to release endorphins that give you a feeling of happiness.
  9. Finally, it is important to understand that you deserve happiness. Those who believe that they are not worthy of happiness may subconsciously sabotage their efforts to achieve happiness. If necessary, tell yourself each day that you deserve to be happy and remind yourself what steps you will take to achieve the happiness you desire.
Happiness is hard to define but most people are aware of whether they are happy or not. Many people believe that happiness is a form of luck and that some people are destined to be happy while others are destined to be unhappy. I try to incorporate the tips above into my life and have had great success in achieving happiness. The tips in this article are small but meaningful steps that you can take each day to lead you to true happiness.
